birthday bunting

I've nearly finished the birthday bunting to go with the cupcake quilt for the birthday girl, just need to cut out some letters - and I'm going to cheat and "bondaweb" them on. With the scraps that were too small I made a quick length for around K's bed, she has a cabin bed so it should look sweet wrapped round the frame, I'll take a photo if it looks nice.

It poured with rain on the way to school this morning, the kids were happy because they got to use their silly umbrellas (a frog and a ladybird), and I got to wear my pink wellies - none of the other mums ever walk to school in wellies, maybe they just have green ones......

  1. Like the bunting. This is on my to do list also (although I've plenty of time as there's no birthday in my house until January!) Did you use bias binding?

  2. I covet those wellies! My daughter has some tasteful spotty ones but mine are boring and green and merge with the hedgerows. At least I don't get spots in front of my eyes first thing in the morning!

  3. I bought pink wellies last week but they are not nearly as pretty as yours. I'm not sure I dare wear them other than in the garden - they're good for shuffling to the compost heap and recycling bins but not much else!

  4. What great wellies! I haven't worn wellies in ages and they're so great for wet weather, not sure if I can justify buying another pair of boots, just at the moment! Love the bunting, really pretty colours!

  5. LOVE the wellies! We've only just started seeing the fashionable version here and I'm trying to pick my favorite before making the big purchase.

I think I might have to undertake a bunting project, too. It will have to be a boy version, though, so it won't be as pretty as yours...
