It's been a challenging week.
I applied for a teaching assistants job at the school where I volunteer one day a week.
I thought that as I am suitably qualified for the position, and have 18 months experience with that class I stood a reasonable chance.
shows how much I know - didn't even get an interview..
so instead I went shopping...........
for fabric.
and chocolate - I've eaten that so no photo.
A challenging week - I second that. Sorry to hear about the job. The fabric looks gorgeous and chocolate is always a winner.... :0)
ReplyDeletewhat a horrible thing to do, How unfair is that!
ReplyDeleteWell done for buying fabric and chocolate to cheer yourself up.
Jessx
Sorry about the job. There's always some consolation to be found in fabric shopping though - surely the best kind of shopping? Hope you're feeling cheered by your stash enhancement.
ReplyDeleteFabric and chocolate shopping is the best sort of shopping!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the job - but don't give up applying if that's what you want to do :o)
What are you going to make witht he fabric? Or is it just being stroked and admired for now?
xx
Thank goodness for chocolate! Sorry to hear your news, those jobs are like gold dust, so many of my friends have tried to get them and all have had great relevant experience but been unlucky. Hope you're feeling a bit better today and the fabric is proving to be a good diversion

Definitely don't give up- sometimes these things are not meant to be first time round. I am also impressed with your cheering yourself up presents, go forth and enjoy!x
ReplyDeleteoh how rubbish, that's really poor not at least interviewing you. Shame on them! Good on you for eating the choc - they clearly don't know what they're missing. A huge reflection on them, not you.
ReplyDeleteTake care

Sorry to hear about the job, have you any plans for the fabric?
ReplyDeleteBUMMER...Oh sorry but this makes me a little cross so I can only imaginge how you must be feeling, I guess its is their loss!!! Roll on with the shopping therapy!!!
ReplyDeleteBummer! Chocolate and fabric are both approved therapies as far as I'm concerned ;o)
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm sorry about the job. Definitely their loss. I'm sure something else will find its way to you, hot on the tail of a spot of retail therapy...
ReplyDeleteoh dear about the job, well you know what they say, when one door closes another door opens, and if that door is full of fabric and chocolate, then hopefully it will cheer you up a little : )
ReplyDeleteGoodness, seems a bit mean. Perhaps they had tons of applications.
ReplyDeleteFabric and chocolate always cheer me up...oh and wine too!
Oh Tess, how annoying. My sister is a teaching assistant and says although the pay is crap, there are million and one mums in line for her job.
ReplyDeleteWho knows what wonderful opportunity is waiting for you around the next bend in the road? I am sorry to hear that your application didn't work out - but I am sure that there will be something just right for you in the future.
ReplyDeleteOh I missed this - I'm so sorry about the job. They're clearly mad. But then, maybe they are too used to getting something for nothing ...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the fabric and chocs though - sounds just the ticket.
So sorry to read about the job...things like that always really knock you sideways, don't they? The fabrics are lovely though...and I bet the chocolate was too. Glad to hear from your later post that you're all better now. x
