we started our quiet weekend with a trip to the library, where we signed up for this summers reading challenge called
Team Read. One of the books Miss K chose to read was The
Railway Children, which is funny, as I've just booked us tickets to see this performed at the
National Railway museum.
During a bit of blog browsing I found this
quilt giveaway, it looks gorgeous. and now it must be time for a bit of tea and cake I think, anyone want some....
I loved that book when I was a kid!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember reading the book but I loved the movie ... we had it on tape and we watched it over and over!
ReplyDeleteI loved the movie also, it was great fun!
ReplyDeleteThere is a quilt give-away at http://www.tweedlebeebytoni.com/blog/ as well.
ReplyDeleteLOL - you really want that quilt! Good Luck.
ReplyDeleteI love the Railway Children, the book and the film.
Ah the Railway Children - Jenny Agutter and the one with the teeth. Whenever I see the film on the listings I watch it. It's such a lovely trip down Memory Lane. 'It's far too magic for me!'
ReplyDeleteAny cake to spare?
Ah we're doing Team Read (though as we are in Scotland we started it a month ago) - it's such a great scheme! Thanks for the heads up on the quilt giveaway too!
