Seeing this post triggered a memory of me and my brother (no longer with us) trying our hand at making rock buns - they came out awful, you couldn't bite into them and they actually bounced!
Yours look absolutely gorgeous and I'm sure melted in the mouth lol.
The rock bun recipe is good, isn't it? I sub the raisins with choc chips (I have the world's only raisin hating child) and have eaten far too many on picnics this summer!
I read the Secte 7 series and always wondered what Rock Buns were! Look delicious and perfect beach food.
