finally some crafting

finished! my sister -in -laws birthday socks.

only a month late. not too bad for me............

and with the socks finished and the rain lashing down outside I finally got back to my scrap quilt. A basket of random strips, close your eyes and pick one.

it's coming together at last.
now if it would just stop raining I could get back to the meccano project......

  1. The socks are wonderful--such beautiful wool... and the quilt piecing is lovely--great blocking patter. :o) We're just back from 2-week visit with family & friends in the US. Glad to stop by and catch up with you! Happy Weekend ((HUGS))

  2. You mean you haven't started my socks yet...??
If the giant meccano set is what I think it is I would stick to quilting and socks and make lots of cups of coffee and give lots of encouragement to other people to make it- I had lots of bits of metal left over from building mine and I'm just glad that MrP does what he does for a living so he was able to adapt other bits of metal to do what they were supposed to... They are lovely when they are done though- just think of all those home grown toms - yum!

  4. I love the pattern and colours of the socks. I'm assuming its a self patterning type of wool. Which brand is it?

  6. Beautiful socks, hope your sister-in-law likes them.

I wish it would rain here as there are plenty of clouds and gloom, but no rain. Zoya
