I had to make some more flowery bunting.
sometimes a girl has to do what a girl has to do.
the house is being overrun by decorations of a different theme
decorations which in this house are only truly appreciated by those with a y chromosome.......
my concession was that most of it was bought from Cancer Research UK in aid of the Bobby Moore fund. My reasoning is that if you have to have football stuff then at least it can be doing some good somehow

thankfully there are craft elements about the world cup that appeals to a 9 year old boy.
it's even become a geography project.
meanwhile I'm wondering about red and white gingham bunting - patriotic and fabric?
Swooning and sighing over that bunting.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you could start a Bunting of the Month Club? I'll be ready with my PayPal...
Oh yes, the bunting is good, very very good.
ReplyDeleteHama bead mini flags? Oh yes. They're ace.

Hmm, it seems you got double prizes - I am comment challenged, but then it's not long after dawn
ReplyDeleteNow the Hama bead things are the first WC items I actually like - well done that boy :)
ReplyDeleteAm a firm believer that you can never have enough bunting ;)
I LOVE those Hama bead flags - brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking patriotic bunting might be useful too - for all sorts of occasions. And slowly gathering the fabrics - red, blue and white in gingham, spots and stripes is my plan.
Love the bunting and the Hama bead flags. I have to confess, it wouldn't have crossed my mind to make world cup bunting - there is a single Y chromosome in this house and as long as he has access to beer and TV he's not too worried about the decor ...
ReplyDeleteI'm with VintageVicki on this one. Plastic red and white flags do not do it for me. Where are all the cloth flags?
ReplyDeleteNice way to learn the flags. Love the bunting you made. Display it with pride.
I love the hama beads idea!!
ReplyDeleteI love the hama beads idea!!
ReplyDeleteThose flags are amazing! And definitely yes to gingham bunting!
ReplyDeleteK x
LOVE, love, love the floral bunting! And I do like the idea of gingham bunting too...*swoon*...I've been making some embroidered square bunting--fun to make! Love the flags--with the world's geography changing, it's good to keep up! Thanks so much for the blogiversary cheer and joining my giveaway--great to see you stopped by. :o) Happy Weekend to you all ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteOh the Hama beads, what a great use of craft and patriotism.
ReplyDeleteLoving the bunting! Love the World Cup crafts--one year my oldest drew all the flags on paper and taped them to his wall.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, you may as well bunt with style.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the football,
Nina x
I just love bunting and yours is so pretty - there's nothing speaks of an English summer like a string of fluttery bunting (not the World Cup kind though - can personally forego that!)
ReplyDeletelove the bunting T. Red and white gingham sounds like a good one-we have stripy red and white in our back garden, and union jack in the back porch.
ReplyDeleteAm sick of the football already. It started about 4 hours ago. Rubbish.
Beautiful bunting. If you make red and white bunting - maybe you can sell it to the local pub and add some crafty goodness to the testosterone atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are using world cup to your advantage - I wish my daughter was old enough to learn geography from it, but I guess there is always next time.
your bunting is great , as for the football I like it ... have got the popcorn ready for the match tonight for me and Milo ( hub will still be at work )
ReplyDeleteI love red and white, love bunting - red and white bunting? Say no more!! As for the hama flags, such a fab fab fab idea, my son's just about to get started on the back of this post. I expect they'll be turning the tv on about now?!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy ..
