thingummies

walking home from school with Miss K

Miss K "I got a thingummy today mummy"

me "pardon"

Miss K "I got a thingummy today mummy"

me "a what?"

Miss K "a thingummy"

try a different tactic. "how did you get that?"

Miss K "they told us in assembly, if you had been awarded one, or two or three thingies in a subject by your teacher for achievement then you had to go to Mr L and he would give you a thingummy. I got a pink one"

me "and what does the thingummy do?"

Miss K "you got to go to early lunch today, and tomorrow you can come in non uniform so then everyone will know you earned a thingummy"

I am very proud of Miss K, but I am guessing she didn't earn her thingummy for her vocabulary.

  6. Well. She really did do very well indeed to get a thingummy. Is a thingummy different from a thingummibobs? We have quite a few of those in our house. Ax
