Marching by

oh March, how did you whizz past so fast? You were a blur of sequins, of wild winds, and grey days, of tiny hints of spring, and snuggling in blankets watching the rain lashing down and yet some days you were warm enough to lose a few layers and hands were warm enough in glove buddies (pattern here on the lovely Hawthorn Spellweaver's blog.) March you were filled with cake, and cheesy scones, and rockbuns, and more cake, including a very special one. More to follow on that one.....

  1. March most certainly passed us by in a hurry filled with garden planning, windswept walking, roaring fires and thick tasty stews...tis now the time for lighter nights and longer adventures.

  2. March certainly whizzed by here too. I just about managed to plant up some hyacinths and what I call 'narcissistic' plants to give us a flavour of Spring. Now I'm looking forward to having a bonfire whilst it's still light! X

  4. Ooo... love the colors in these fingerless mitts!! Still needing such here. We had a BIG dump of snow last week...spring much come soon, right?! ;o) Thank you so much for your VERY kind comment at my place. Life is tough sometimes. Thankfully there are lots of good things to sooth the rough spots--like friends. :o) Wishing you & yours a LOVELY EASTER ((HUGS))

  9. Very pretty Ms. Tess. Sounds like a wonderful month of treats -- surely what we could have used during our cold, blustery month!

  16. It's now starting to cool down (slightly) and head towards winter here so I think I may have to try those glove buddies. Unfortunately it'll still be a couple of months before it gets cold enough to wear them but I'll make sure I have them ready :)

  18. It was curiously speedy wasn't it? It's startling that April is about to happen. How can we be a quarter of the way through the year when Christmas was a couple of weeks ago? Is it because we're all getting OLD?

  19. Definitely rushed by here too, and for a while it fooled me that maybe it was bringing Spring, hopefully April will follow through a little better.

  20. March here veered from winterish to summerish and back again, and so far April is shaping up to do the same!
