August

ok so apart from skipping on all the camping related items, and the swimming and the sunburn, I'm happy with the above list. Actually I look terrifying in my passport photo, lets hope it gets me through customs.

I hope I have time for "have a pina colada day",  I'm unlikely to fit in "pedicure day" which means I'll be a disgrace on "bare feet day" but I'm happy to celebrate "broccoli appreciation day" it's one of my favourite greens.

Happy August x

  1. Happy August to you too. My passport photo's horrid. Unfortunately I had to use the same one for my driving licence so there's no escaping it...

  2. Have a great month! I look totally exhausted and utterly ancient in my passport photo. It always reminds me of the day I had to get my and both boys passport photographs, it was very stressful and the photo shows that! x

  4. I don't mind my passport photo but instead am aware of often being in the lamentable situation of looking worse than I do in my passport when travelling, which isn't a great feeling. Here's to eating broccoli in bare feet, maybe on the beach!

  5. Depths of winter here, of course, but a great month nonetheless. Some of the best people were born in August... :)

  7. Lovely August..please bring us some respite from the awful heat and some rain for goodness sake.
You, August are loved forever because you brought me my beloved and forever held in my heart baby boy.
    Wishing you a perfect August.

  8. Happy August! I'm not keen on Pina Colada - could I perhaps swap it for a Mojito instead?! I can definitely get on board with broccoli appreciation day though. Have a good month. xx

  9. Hope you're having a wonderful time and not boiling like a New England lobster. And yes to the broccoli; our next-door neighbor is keeping us well supplied from her garden and it is FAB.

    P.S. No naked swimming EVER.

  10. To a great August! I do rather like August actually. I have only just managed to paint my toe nails on the second last day of our holiday... as for broccoli, it is a family favourite with all but me. Passport photos look grim no matter how gorgeous you are in real life. I look like a knife yielding maniac in mine. xx

  11. "I will have knicker-bocker glories and other food with hyphens in,"....

    Any ideas?

  12. I don't have a passport so I have successfully bypassed that one........well I do have an expired one somewhere.........

I like the idea of foods with hyphens in might start adding them randomly, enjoy your August!

  14. No to swimming naked, very definite on that one. But yes to broccoli, knickerbocker glory and sunshine. I've already wrestled with tent and awning poles and that was in July. And no passport required this year...... What a relief x

  15. Happy August Tess! I love your monthly calendar updates. I'll try and squeeze in a little camping for you -- we're having tent woes, so, not sure it will happen. Have a wonderful month!

  17. Noooo, can't skip the swimming! Do like the thought of breakfast on the beach though, we've never done that, it's always lunch or supper. Although we are well into late holiday mornings now so maybe it's too ambitious for us.
