inspirational workshop

I went to an inspirational workshop at the weekend, at the Quilt Museum in York.
The tutor was Phillipa Naylor, and she does the most amazing piecing, and quilting. - see above!

This was one of her samples for the free motion quilting we were learning.
mine does NOT look like this, hence there is no photo................
It was a great course though, and I learnt lots, so maybe one day..........

and this morning I found a little time to make some MORE bunting! There maybe a lot of England themed baking this week, as my birthday party has been hijacked by a world cup party, and I have to regain control somehow..............

  3. I come from Yorkshire and have a brother living in York and more to the point am researching Quilting, so I really must visit this place. I know I will find it inspirational, but its good to hear first hand from someone who's been.

  4. Oooh, look at that embroidery. Apparently my machine can do it, but I can't ...

Lovely bunting. I never thought I'd like world cup bunting but yours is fab.

  5. I've taken classes from Phillipa at the International Quilt Festival in Houston. She is amazing, isn't she? My piecing is better for taking that class, my binding and piping better, but alas, my free motion feathers seem to be molting.
