sprigs of spring

out in the garden there are small signs of spring

things are starting to grow, mostly weeds................ but I need something to refill my vase so I find a few snowdrops that haven't been munched on by birds? mice? and a wallflower that doesn't know it's not supposed to flower yet.

luckily my neighbour has some lovely shrubs which just happen to be leaning far enough over our fence that I can snip a few sprigs. I'm sure they will be glad I'm helping with the pruning......

any signs of spring with you? or your neighbours?........

  1. They look so pretty in that bubble vase. Spring is nearly underway - I have got a few crocuses and snowdrops out, and my mini daffs have just started to open. Things are getting cheerier! I hope this warm sunshine continues! XX

  2. We are still at the snowdrop stage, the trees won't be blossoming for weeks here! I'm looking forward to longer and lighter days, more than ever this year than before. Winter has been long.

  3. Lovely! We are close to having hyacinths and daffodils by the front porch where it is protected and warm, but nothing yet. Thanks for the vicarious thrills! xoxo

  4. I have winter aconites coming out in my front garden. I'd forgotten I'd planted them and am totally thrilled! Tiny but perfect.

  7. What pretty photos. You don't need much of a flower to brighten things up do you?! That vase is lovely, I'm sure I've seen it elsewhere and thought what a good idea it is. We're not quite so far on yet but getting there. Juliex
