it's quilt weather!

brrrrr. it's Cold outside. Definitely quilt weather. We have an amber warning of snow and a windchill of -6C.

Miss K's school sent them home on Friday at lunchtime, and is closed today except for exams.
E's school is open, I sent him out of the door into a howling blizzard.

I have to go out this afternoon to do more exam invigilating. I really don't want to go.........

Red Wallflowers quilt. Sold.

I want to stay at home and sew another quilt.

  1. I don't blame you for wanting to stay home. I would want to as well but I think I'd like to be out in the snow for awhile since I've never actually seen it and it would be such a novelty. It looks beautiful!

  2. Brrr. It's cold! We're supposed to be at -27C tomorrow -- Ouch. I wish we at least had some snow to go along with it. Maybe I'll just come back to your blog and admire your beautiful red quilt!

  4. ahhh..thinking I might be the only person enjoying the coldness, snow and blizards!!!! I work in an adventure playground and get to play outside all year round, the snow is an added bounce. I've spent the last few days being inventive trying to keep warn while the playground children play safely around me...but saying that your quilt does look inviting! X

  6. The quilt is the colour of the noses that the children returned from school today with. Despite the school buses not running they were still expected to turn up at school! You've got me thinking about quilts now and I've never made one before, but I want to!

  14. Quilt weather, or knitted blanket weather, either would do me. Although I think I preferred the cold to the wet that's returned. Snow beats rain hands down!

Thanks for the get well wishes Tess :D

  15. Definitely quilting weather. Although I do like a good trek out in the snow, it's never fun when you have to actually get anywhere. Best to stay indoors till it's all melted, I think!
