So it's the last day of the summer holidays.
We have very few plans.
We need to go and get a new front door key cut, so that Miss K can have her own.
I think we need to go out for cake.
New stationary has been bought.
School trousers were the last emergency purchase.
E could have done with a haircut, but it can wait I suppose....
I am trying to look forwards not backwards.
But it is hard. It has been a wonderful summer.
I am not quite ready for it to end.
Hi Tess,
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to say goodbye to summer days.
Looks like you have had a lovely summer and I enjoyed seeing your photos.
Happy week
Hugs
Carolyn

Lovely photos....
ReplyDeleteSummer is over here too! My girls went back to school this morning!
I'm sensing you feel the same slight melancholy I have. Little one goes back tomorrow, big one starts her new school on Thursday. I have a few nametapes to sew on this afternoon, then I'll pack the bags and that, I hope, will be that. Sigh.
ReplyDelete{Sigh}. I don't blame you. It looks like you've had the best summer with perfect weather. Good luck to your kidlets in their new schoolyear!
ReplyDeleteIt is difficult to say goodbye, I do know. My boys are all grown and I was a teacher for years, so I do understand the angst of saying farewell to a carefree and unscheduled season. Sending wishes that Autumn will be just as lovely, tho. quite different, I know. There is such a wistful feeling for such a fleeting and lovely space of abundance and goodness.
ReplyDeleteThose fishermen look fab. Did you keep them?
ReplyDeleteIt has been a wonderful summer - I'm not ready for it to be autumn!! Love all the photos.
ReplyDeleteOh you went to Souter , we went last weekend too :-)
