blue

First day of the Easter holidays.
Miss K has gone on a trip with Guides.
There will be trains, and canal trips, the European parliament and most importantly chocolate.

Guides wear blue even out of uniform when on trips.
We had to buy blue trousers, and then a belt to hold them up!

She rebelliously packed pink pyjamas.

Meanwhile feeling blue is one of the kitties. He got stung (we think) on his leg and licked all his fur off, and made the skin oh so sore. Antibiotics and steroid cream seem to be helping but until it's all healed he has to wear a cone of shame. Oh you have never seen such a miserable thing, he keeps reversing trying to get out of it, or climbing upwards as it that will help. we are constantly having to rescue him when he gets stuck........ I haven't taken a photo, it seemed cruel.........

  1. Poor cat, a cone is the last straw when you're already feeling grim! Hope your daughter has a fantastic time. Love the irises :-)

  5. I would have packed pink PJ's too. Not that I have anything against blue of course as it is my favourite colour and was, in fact, the colour of my wedding dress.
    Hope kitty is better soon.

  6. Poor kitty! Have you tried wheat germ oil, applied topically or taken as a capsule ... I know the family behind Dorwest Veterinary Herbs and they sell those products in the right strength for cats.

  7. Awwww, poor little kitty. It's so sad 'cause they just don't understand why they're being punished. Or maybe they do haha -- who knows. Your flower shots are beautiful!

  10. What a wonderful blue in your irises! How can it possibly be that I love bulbs as I do and yet I have no irises? Must rectify that for next spring.

  12. Beautiful irises! Hope your daughter enjoys her guides trip, and that the cat makes a speedy recovery! I have a husband on school Easter holidays as of last Friday, a daughter starting this Friday, then the older two starting the following (Good) Friday. Needless to say, the elders are very jealous of everyone who is on hols already! Hope you all have a lovely Easter.

  15. Thank you for visiting us at Red Rose Alley. These flowers are beautiful and look like the color Purple. Purple is my favorite color.

Have a lovely day, and I hope your kitty is feeling better.
