green

rain is lashing down outside and the garden is drinking it up.

as the plants become wetter and wetter the air is filled with scent.

not a heady floral, or a woody overtone, but more of a colour.

  2. It is amazing how different everything is after some rain, and there is definitely a fresh clean smell in the air isn't there. I love green, it is the perfect outdoor backdrop for everything else! xx

  3. I do love your 'colour' posts T, it makes me look around and notice a bit more here. Isn't mint supposed to be a fly deterrent? J x

  10. I do love a bit of rain in summer. It refreshes things and makes everything lush again. The smell of damp earth and wet foliage together is therapeutic somehow - perfect for going out walking.

  11. It's one of the things I've noticed since moving North. The rain may be lashing but everything is so lunch and green. Just beautiful.
