  1. happy New Year - I too have a new eighteen year old in the house, it takes getting used a house full of adults, it was happening but I wasn't seeing it creep up on me! Your white knitting is beautiful and soft/light.

  15. Hi Tess, nice to see you! It looks like you had a very nice start to the new year. A new adult in your house? Wow. When I get one of those, I might ask him to take over. :)

  16. Beautiful yarn colours :) That castle looks very Hogwarts-like, I am still waiting for my letter, dratted owl must have got blown off course!

Don't worry about not being around all the time, I was surprised to see that last year I published far fewer blog posts than in any previous year but so what?

  17. I'm impressed with the macro lens on your camera, I'm wondering if mine has one? The clarity is great. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Eighteen presents for an eighteenth birthday sounds like a brilliant idea - it's not every day you become an adult, after all. x

  18. I like the idea of 18th birthday = 18 presents. With this logic I'll be getting quite a few :-)

Your profile made me smile, I'm also a lover of tea! Even better if there is a slab of cake to go with it.

I hope January has been good to you?
