white cyclamen
red garland
Christmas twig with red, white and silver decorations.
The house is decorated, red, white, silver, the now traditional Christmas twig (there's a story about the twig, maybe I'll share if I feeling brave enough), the butter house is soaking ready to be filled, the cake is marzipanned, the children are resigned to the fact that I am soon to drag them out on a Christmas Eve walk, - I'll take hot chocolate and delicious things to eat, but part of the tradition is to make a fuss, they can't admit to actually liking it! Then it will be time to relax, to enjoy, to be thankful, to feast, and to make merry.
Wishing you all a Very Happy Christmas.

ReplyDeleteHouse looks lovely, have a lovely walk and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful. I dragged mine out on a walk this afternoon. It was lovely, but of course they complained. Like you say, it's traditional. Your house is looking beautiful. I hope you all have a really happy Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Tess!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful decorations. Wishing you a Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMy two are still in bed but in their dreams know there will be a Christmas day walk ... we have hail stones at the moment !
A happy Christmas to you and all your family too.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a very happy Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWe have been on the family walk too - always a good way of walking off some of the Christmas food, chocolates..
Happy holidays

It all looks so festive and pretty Tess! And a Christmas Eve walk! We're always so disorganized -- everyone is always running around with last minute stuff to do and the women are always cooking for Christmas Eve dinner. We're doing something wrong -- we so need to change our plans so that we can have some relaxing time for a change. I hope your Christmas was wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYour decoration is beautiful and I am intrigued by the twig and the story should you choose to tell us.
ReplyDeleteWishing you goodness in 2014

The colours of your house are very fine. We walk and have walked through the years when it was a pain into the years when our now adult children suggest it. Keep walking!
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are lovely, I hope you had a great Christmas
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping much merry was made, and that 2014 brings you and yours and much joy.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous twig ... we have decorated twigs too - white with a hint of red and gold this year - no story attached though.
