dear readers I have a confession.
last weekend it was Mr Driftwood's birthday.
there is a long tradition of birthday cake making in the driftwood family.
I have let the side down.
I bought hubby's cakes from M&S.
still if it's good enough for these ladies of the WI............
I think given the circumstances it's entirely forgiveable!

You have let nobody down. Their cakes are lovely. We indulge in at least one box a week of their yummy raspberry and white chocolate cupcakes!

ReplyDeleteIt's the thought that counts though and the cake looks very tasty. Happy belated birthday Mr Driftwood!
ReplyDeletePerhaps the ready-made cake can become a new tradition?! ;o) But don't worry, we won't tell...Isn't it great to have friends out there to share secrets with? The cake does look good...mmm...lemon... Most of all hope Mr. Driftwood had a lovely day. Happy weekend ahead to you all ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteI bet hubby loved it though-Mmm, lemon drizzle cake!x
ReplyDeleteThe trick is to distract him by giving him a big birthday kiss when you put the cake on the table.
ReplyDeleteSounds like my kind of day!
