the kindness of stangers

to the man in the car park who gave me £1 so I had enough change to buy a parking ticket.

    I know what you mean, a lovely lady gave me the (right) change for the toilets in Manchester station, it only takes 20p and 10p pieces, I had lots of coppers. Which she didn't want either!!
    Magic Bean... £1 sounds cheap to me, where do you live??
