green

All of a sudden everywhere is green.

New lavender shoots.

Delicate cow parsley fronds.

The heavenly fragrance of lemon balm.

Vibrant parsley.

Silvery green thyme.

Purple tinged green fennel.

Lush dark kale.

Alien like rhubarb emerging wrinkled from tight buds.

 Fresh green mint.

If I had to think of a colour to describe Spring it would be green x

  7. So many beautiful greens. You've reminded me, I must go out and check on my lavender plants - I think I may have over pruned them last year; I hope I haven't killed them! Enjoy the weekend. x

  11. Green indeed, it's wonderful isn't it. I particularly like those crumpled rhubarb leaves and the lemon balm. In a couple of weeks there will be apple blossom, my favourite. CJ xx

  14. They are lovely green photos. I especially like the mint, doesn't that sun make a difference to the vibrancy of the green? As you say... lush.

  21. We wait and wait for the beautiful greens, and then they just seem to pop out in a matter of a day...at least to me. One day the maples are leafless and the next their branches a filled. It's a wonder.

  23. Here too, hurray! Green, green, green! Looks like you must have a gorgeous garden, and hopefully you've been enjoying this beautiful sunshine out there. Maria has been out in ours (more of a jungle than anything), she's been making potions with our lemon balm and she smells divine now!

  30. That's the thing I most love about spring I think, even more than the blossom and flowers - that moment when you realise that all the trees have leaves again and the woods are so lush and bright. Great photos. x
