Three more than me. I've heard that plums like to have a rest every other year. Next year will be Plum Year for us. This year I'll be looking out for plums on sale at people's front gates. I made a jar and half of plum jam last year with plums I bought from a house on the way back from the wildfowl and wetlands place we go to, and it was so utterly delicious, this year I shall definitely need more jars. CJ xx
With plums I'm afraid I don't hold with the less is more theory. I want more, more, more! Although 5 is obviously better than none, and quality is important too! Hope they turn into fruits, and the wasps don't get them before you!
We have very little blossom on our plum tree this year too - we had so much last year that we needed to support the branches! At least they won't take long to pick! xx
Oh, they are beautiful blossoms indeed. Such a brave and hopeful little sign from Mother Nature. We have some wild plums across from our bridge and I am hoping that I'll be able to pick some this year. I believe they are called egg yolk plums and they are just glowingly beautiful when ripe, especially when the sun shines on them.
Oh how I love this time of year! I've been blossom spotting too, I'm hoping my flowering pear tree will bear more than just one fruit this year, positive thinking! :) Katie x
Sooo sweet & sooo lovely... Sometimes just a few makes all the difference. ;o) There will be more soon. Things are finally at bud-burst point here--so many beautiful small changes day by day... I just love spring! Thanks for visiting today--soo cheery! Happy weekend to you all ((HUGS))
Less is more. X
