this week

this week I have mostly been - picking raspberrys, a precious few....

and strawberries - the birds ate the rest.........

loving my new long flower bed, and it's teeny tiny lavender plants

pulling up Lots of weeds from the raised veggie beds,

nurturing small seedlings in what the children have christened the "grand cascade"

delighting in the bunting that Miss K hung on the chicken run

and admiring this alium.

it took a lot of work to get the garden fit for a photo shoot, so I'm going to wish you all a very happy weekend and go and pour myself a glass of wine. we have the first quiet weekend in what seems like forever, so we're are going to enjoy it, the answer machine is getting turned on, the mobiles are getting turned off, and I have serious plans to drink tea and read a magazine!

hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you do, I hope there is some relaxing in there somewhere. xxx

  1. Oh, I have serious garden envy now. Ours is about the size of a postage stamp and despite best intentions, we are simply too lazy to keep up with the veggies on the allotment that we rented to compensate :-(

  3. Lucky chickies having all that to look at, and beautiful bunting too. All credit to you, you have a wonderful garden and definitely deserve that glass of wine. I'm just about to tuck in myself but alas, I didn't earn it through gardening!

  5. Your garden is looking beautiful. It is quite annoying when the birds eat the fruit. You see it ripening, can almost taste the flavours, and then to find the birds got their first.... :(
Enjoy your weekend a peace and quiet. You certainly deserve it after all your hard work in the garden.

  8. WOW--your garden is AMAZING, Tess! You have so much space... and I love how you've planned everything. It all looks like something from a magazine! Hope you had a lovely weekend now... Oh, by the way, I am actually launching a new blog today, with new creative focus--I'm very excited about it. In a few weeks I'll be closing Pink Purl. Thanks for visiting me there. :o) ((HUGS))

  10. It looks great - well done, I bet you feel good now! Our garden is absolutely not fit for a photo shoot, unless it is the 'before' in a 'before and after' piece. I love that the chickens have their own bunting - they really are happy hens!

  11. What an amazing garden! I'm super-jealous. I really should get off my backside more often.
