spring?

Apparently it's nearly spring.
It doesn't feel like it to me.
The weather is grey and cold, and wild and grey and wet, and windy and damp, and grey.

Grey skies do make wonderfully dramatic backdrops for tree silhouettes though.
Every cloud has a silver lining,.........

  3. Beautiful photo!
We had a gorgeous sunny day on Saturday, but the weather has reverted back to gloom and heavy rain. It's so dispiriting. Fingers crossed for more sunshine - or just sunlight - soon!

  10. The silhouettes of trees are magical aren't they. It was definitely springlike here at the weekend but we are a lot further south, I'm sure it'll reach you in no time at all!

  11. We still have snow but with brilliant blue skies, we are suffering torrents of rain at the moment but it is making the buds fatten up and look greener - as you say - every cloud has a silver lining. Your tree silhouette is amazing :)

  13. Saturday was very Spring like here. We sat on the harbour beach in t shirts! We were plunged back into mist and murk by Sunday though. We hunkered down with Star Wars. As you say, every cloud...
    Have a great week,

    1. if only it made it's mind up, although yes, enforced film watching due to weather is no real hardship x

  14. It was grey and cold again here today, but we did have sun on Saturday so I will think of that instead! I like your silver lining photos! They would not have been the same, or as good, in the sunshine! xx

  15. It is amazingly stormy here, just wild. There are lots of small signs of Spring though, and I am grateful for those. Love your photo!

  16. I love this picture Tess. Down here in the south there are a few more signs of spring each day - today while driving I went past a round-about completely covered in crocuses, I had to resist the urge to keep driving round and round it - they looked so pretty. I did my first outside drying of the washing on sunday so spring is definitely arriving here and I hope it's not too far behind for you x

  17. Chilly here today too, and damp and windy and grey. Sunshine tomorrow though, so I shall go and do outside jobs. I hope there's sun with you too. CJ xx

  18. I'm getting the Spring message loud and clear down here - it's crocus central and the daffs are on the verge. Even played tennis in a tshirt at the weekend, as opposed to dressed like Scott of the Antarctic. Hold on Tess, it's coming...

  19. When I looked at the picture it made me think of those pictures of the blood vessels in your lungs....
My mini daffs are flowering beautifully but the slushy rain and biting wind makes me think it is not really spring just yet.

  20. Love that photo. Blue skies and bright sun here but it is oh so chilly... Wishing you some colour. Ax

  21. WONDERFUL image, Tess! Amazingly spring is on our doorstep. Here it's been sunny some days, but chilly & windy... the wind makes it seem more cold than it is, which make it feel like autumn, rather than spring... LOL! Hopefully warmer sun and colorful blooms will come soon! :o) ((HUGS))

  22. Oh wow! They certainly do. I've been told there could still be snow in April!! Really.

  23. Beautiful photo, although I do think it would look good with a blue sky too! We're getting a lovely sunny day once a week or so down here, so can't complain too much, and there are daffodils and primroses, even the odd bit of blossom on a tree here or there, and leaping lambs everywhere, so it definitely does feel like Spring!

  24. Yesterday was sunny here (for a while). Today the wind is blowing furiously annd there's been so much rain. Just realised it isn't actually raining right now - must put the bin out.

  27. That is a stunning image. It's all grey skies and wind and wet here too. The whippets are spending all day hunkered under blankets and I think they have the right idea.
