finished!
finally finished xxxx I think I am loving the back more than I ever have done in a quilt. the way the thread changes from the blue to the red is a delight.
the design of the quilting was a serious challenge, free motion poppies, daisies and meadow grasses all over, soooo many ends to bury......
but so worth it. I love it. I may never be able to go back to just stippling.
now it just needs a name.
all ideas gratefully recieved.
it's getting a lot of use already, the first winter cold of the year has found a victim.....

Oh.my.goodness. That is just amazing, Tess! Wow. Why not call it the Wow quilt!?
ReplyDeleteOh! Beautiful! 'The colour wall'?
ReplyDeleteAmazing. And that quilting is super impressive (I only do straight lines). It looks like a brick pattern the way you have pieced it - I think they call it bond. How about the brick bond quilt?!
ReplyDeleteJust seen Emma's comment - the colour wall sounds so much better!
ReplyDeleteOooh, so pretty!
ReplyDelete"Holy Cow what a Fantastic Quilt" is my suggestion for a name

ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful! It looks so textural and cosy and I love the colours. I wonder if you've thought of a name yet? Maybe you could call it after the meadow flowers and grasses you so beautifully quilted on it?
ReplyDeleteHelen x
WOW--LOVE the quilt, Tess--what a great finish! The back is as wonderful as the front...don't you love when that happens? ;o) Happy Days ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely beautiful and a tribute to your great skill. I had a good look at the quilting and am SO impressed! Naming your quilt hmmm - could be Poppies and Daisies perhaps or the quilt of many colours. You've had lots of lovely suggestions on here. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'm full of admiration - the quilt is stunning.
ReplyDeleteHi Tess
ReplyDeletesorry ive not been in touch much just recently. I love your quilt, the red blocks remind me of poppies scattered in a meadow, so i think scattered poppies, or meadow quilt? Id love to be able to quilt, i think i am too slap dash though! take care, fliss xxx
