finished!

finally finished xxxx I think I am loving the back more than I ever have done in a quilt. the way the thread changes from the blue to the red is a delight.

the design of the quilting was a serious challenge, free motion poppies, daisies and meadow grasses all over, soooo many ends to bury......

but so worth it. I love it. I may never be able to go back to just stippling.

now it just needs a name.
all ideas gratefully recieved.

it's getting a lot of use already, the first winter cold of the year has found a victim.....

  3. Amazing. And that quilting is super impressive (I only do straight lines). It looks like a brick pattern the way you have pieced it - I think they call it bond. How about the brick bond quilt?!

  15. Your quilt is beautiful! It looks so textural and cosy and I love the colours. I wonder if you've thought of a name yet? Maybe you could call it after the meadow flowers and grasses you so beautifully quilted on it?

  17. This is absolutely beautiful and a tribute to your great skill. I had a good look at the quilting and am SO impressed! Naming your quilt hmmm - could be Poppies and Daisies perhaps or the quilt of many colours. You've had lots of lovely suggestions on here. Have a great weekend.

  19. Hi Tess
sorry ive not been in touch much just recently. I love your quilt, the red blocks remind me of poppies scattered in a meadow, so i think scattered poppies, or meadow quilt? Id love to be able to quilt, i think i am too slap dash though! take care, fliss xxx
