reasons not to buy tea cups
- I already have quite a lot of nice mugs
- and several nice cups
- so do the children
- my hubby only likes huge mugs that hold LOTS of tea
- I've spent months and months decluttering stuff just in case we ever get to sell the house
- they are surprisingly heavy when you have walked into town
reasons to buy teacups
- the look of sheer delight on the children's faces when we had an impromptu tea party when we got home from school
I don't need any more reasons
Oh, how LOVELY!
ReplyDeleteReason enough, for sure. They are very pretty too.
ReplyDeletesounds good enough to me as well ;-)

How wonderful! I just wish Mr C liked tea enough to take part in a tea party!
ReplyDeleteThey're gorgeous! And you must have needed them, as it looks like they're already being put to good use :)

I think tea tastes better in little dainty cups like these too!
ReplyDeleteStunning! Next time give me a bit more notice, and I'll be right over...
ReplyDeleteThere's no better reason than that! I was thinking yesterday that we don't have enough tea parties around here!
ReplyDeletePerfect reasoning! Very sweet cups "D
ReplyDeleteOh, a tea party, my favorite!

Those are sooo pretty--love that delicate pattern! I have a small collection of old cups & saucers I use all the time. I used to have a larger all-things-tea time collection but had to downsize when we moved...So trying to keep the collecting in check still--LOL! But can't resist a lovely cup ;o) Happy Days ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteLovely cups! I keep scouring our charity shops for pretty cups but no one round here ever seems to get rid of any pretty ones.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good enough reason to me. They look lovely as well.
ReplyDeleteGlad you felt completely free to buy such a gorgeous set! Just popping by again after a long time. What lovely things you have been making. I really like the cafetiere cosies. I have just made a crochet cosy for ours and hope to show it sometime soon. Have a lovely weekend.

So pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou can't have a tea party without pretty cups and saucers - the very best reason!!!!

Despite having a house full of them, I still can't resist buying pretty teacups. We use them for tea parties, I plant things in them, use them to hold earrings, the girls have some that they use for milk in the mornings etc etc. You see, they are so versatile it would be daft to leave them in the shop!

That's so lovely! Don't worry, you're not the only one who can't resist a pretty cup and saucer :-)
ReplyDeleteNo other reason needed!

Tea cups with tiny rosebuds on them! What a great find, you lucky thing! I know exactly what you mean about the reasons for not buying tea cups! Good thing I, like you, throw caution to the wind!
ReplyDeleteLove Vanessa xxx (do you mind if i knit)
i have a collection of old tea cups bought at garage sales that we use for tea parties outside .. although my boys are too old for such things now, i get plenty of small visitors who love them!
